Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award Practice Expedition
On Friday 27th April to Sunday 29th April, our Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Silver award students took part in their practice expedition in the New Forest. Many skills were needed for this practice expedition; for example, map reading skills to figure out whereabouts you are.
The first day was very wet and very muddy and even though the two groups came in at different stages, caked in mud, they were all in high spirits by the end of the first evening, looking forward to completing their second day.
And even though some of the students and staff members found the expedition to be very cold during the night, it did not dampen the spirits of the group and the rest of the expedition.
The practice went very well and all are looking forward to the real deal at the end of May.
